Introducing a sleep diary
Keeping a sleep diary provides a reliable picture of how you sleep, and allows you to evaluate sleep school. It’s almost impossible to know what your sleep looks like without a sleep diary. Therefore, it’s important to make notes in your diary every day throughout the sleep school.
Proceed as follows:
Write down in the columns of your sleep diary the time you go to bed, about what time you fell asleep, how many times and how long you were awake during the night, and how you felt and functioned during the day.
It’s easiest to do this first thing in the morning. The information doesn’t have to be exact, but is an estimate that you make. The sleep diary gives tips on what you can change, and you can also see if the changes you make lead to better sleep in the long run.
Try the general advice and keep a sleep diary for 14 days before moving on to sleep school step 3.
