There are many people who want to support you when you are struggling with your mental health, and several resources you can turn to. Sometimes it may take a little while before someone answers — but you will get help. You don’t need to know what to say in advance.
If the situation is acute – if you have plans to take your life

If you feel very unwell but the situation is not acute
Call 1177 (Swedish Healthcare Guide) for advice and guidance. They are open 24/7. Dial +46 771 11 77 00 if you are calling from a foreign number.

Hjälplinjen – 90 390 (or 020-290390 if calling from a foreign number)
A national support line for people over 18 where you can receive support and guidance regarding worry, anxiety, low mood, difficult life situations, or suicidal thoughts. You remain anonymous and the staff are professionals. The service is free and available 24/7.
Självmordslinjen – 90 101
For you who have thoughts of taking your life or have a loved one with such thoughts. Open 24/7, every day. You can also chat via mind.se. All contact is anonymous.
On-call Priest (“Jourhavande präst”) – via 112 or chat
Emergency conversation and crisis support every evening and night from 21:00–06:00. Call 112 and ask for the on-call priest. You can talk about anything — grief, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, or anything else you’re struggling with. The chat is available via svenskakyrkan.se.

Are you between 16–25 and want to chat with a support person? Open Sunday to Thursday, 17:00–24:00. You can talk about your feelings, thoughts, and when life feels difficult. Access via mind.se.
