Why is balance so important?

When we’re stressed in everyday life, it’s easy to forget what we need to make us feel good.

We struggle on, thinking that we can take it easy later, when we’ve done everything we have to do. For example, “I’m just going to get through the rest of the term, then I can start taking care of myself.” The risk of this behaviour is that we never feel completely “finished,” but tend to replace one demand with another. We end up in a vicious circle that leads to an imbalance between demands and recovery, and we may experience different stress symptoms.

Why does this happen? And what is your life like right now?

Here you will find information and exercises that can help you answer these questions. You can follow the different steps, or you can choose to read/practice in the order you want.
